- Thanasis Argyriou is a Ph.D student at the UADphilEcon doctoral program of the Department of Economics, University of Athens, Greece. His thesis examines the accumulation of foreign assets and the relevant transformations of the capitalist mode of production. His research interests include Marxist Political Economy, the Political Economy of the Eurozone and the Measurement of Absolute Poverty.
- Yiannis Bassiakos is an Assistant Professor at the University of Athens, Department of Economics. He teaches Statistics and his research is centered around applied statistics and survey sampling methodology. In the beginning of his career he did research in clinical trials and AIDS drug development at the Harvard School of Public Health for the AIDS Clinical Trials Group. He has done research work on measuring innovation, R&D spending, and determinants of economic development. He is currently working on measuring absolute poverty and on the effectiveness of policy initiatives of the EU. ybassiak@econ.uoa.gr
- David Etherington is Principal Researcher at the Centre for Enterprise and Economic Development Research (CEEDR), Middlesex University London. David’s research interests are European labour market policies and poverty and social exclusion. He has worked for some years on active labour market and welfare policies developing comparative research on the UK and Denmark. He has recently (2015) completed research on welfare reform, work first policies and benefit conditionality in the UK (with Anne Daguerre from Middlesex University) focusing upon the impact of conditionality on poverty and social exclusion (http://www.mdx.ac.uk/our-research/centres/ceedr/employment-skills-and-quality-of-work). David is currently disseminating this research with trade unions and NGOs. He is a trade union activist and a representative on the Branch Executive of Middlesex University University College Union. - George Labrinidis is holding a PhD from the University of Athens Doctoral Program in Economics. His main research looks into the nature of contemporary world money, following the significant changes that have occurred since the mid 1970’s in the structure of the capitalist mode of production. Her thesis examines the effects of private debt on income distribution. Her research interests include Political Economy, Income Distribution, Over-Indebtedness, Financialization and Inequality and Poverty.

- Henrique Dantas Neder is a professor and researcher at the Institute of Economics of the Federal University of Uberlândia – Brazil. His research focuses on rural poverty and econometric methods for evaluation of development policies and the use of microdata in the construction of social indicators. - Aris Oikonomou is a scientific collaborator at the Institut Labor of the General Confederation of Workers of Greece.
