Engage with IIPPE

IIPPE welcomes two kinds of involvement, and it is worth being clear about the difference between them. Becoming a member involves a membership fee and supports IIPPE’s work directly. Joining our mailing list is free: it keeps you informed about IIPPE’s activities as a friend of the organisation, without the commitments of membership. Both are ways to engage with IIPPE, and both are set out below.

Become a member

IIPPE’s membership runs from July 1st to June 30th each year. Anyone who presents at our Annual Conference has paid a yearly membership fee for that IIPPE fiscal year as part of the registration process. We also encourage people who support IIPPE’s work to “support and promote the development and dissemination of Political Economy” to become members or maintain their membership also in years they cannot attend our Annual Conference. For those who prefer not to have to remember every year to rejoin there is an option for a 5-year full-rate membership at a 20% discount. For those who are able to we also encourage donations to support our work, and such donations paid below should be accompanied by an email to iippe@iippe.org letting us know the name and contact email of the donor, so that we can both record it in our records of donors as well as properly thank you for it.

To become a member through this online process please do the two following steps.

  1. Please send us an email at iippe@iippe.org with the four pieces personal information that we have from people who join IIPPE to present at our Annual Conferences, plus contact information.

      * If you regularly use your middle name and prefer to do so please list here your first and then middle names, but do not list it if you do not regularly use it
  2. Make a payment according to the appropriate category below to the PayPal platform, which can be done either by a PayPal account if you have one, or by a credit card. If you come from a country where financial restrictions make doing either of those impossible, please contact us at iippe@iippe.org to discuss what options are possible.

You do not need to be a paying member to keep up with IIPPE. Joining our mailing list is free and open to anyone interested in our work. Subscribers, as friends of IIPPE, receive news about the Annual Conference, the working groups, calls for papers and other activities.
